Warning Description: Fire Weather Warning

Warning Date: 3:58 am EDT on April 23, 2014

WarningSum:...Red Flag Warning In Effect From Noon Today To 8 Pm Edt This
Evening For Wind And Low Relative Humidity For Portions
Of Central And Eastern Virginia ...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a red flag
warning for wind and low relative humidity...which is in effect
from noon today to 8 PM EDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch
is no longer in effect.
* Winds...northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Humidity...as low as 22 percent.
* Fuel moisture...less than 7 percent
* impacts...the combination of drying vegetation...low relative 
  humidity...and gusty winds will create conditions favorable 
  for the development and spread of wildfires. 
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
